This painting symbolically represents two main elements of love: To melt and to burn.Only after we fall in love with us and love ourselves first, we can share the flame with someone else. The movement of the liquid ice cream is connected with the time arrow and the direction of time.

Das Bild beschreibt zwei symbolische Grundelemente der Liebe: Schmelzen ( sich fallen lassen) und brennen ( ohne zu verbrennen). Erst nachdem wir die große Liebe zu uns selbst erkannt haben und alleine glücklich sind, dann können wir diese Flame mit anderen teilen. Die Flüssigkeit und Bewegung der Eis sind mit dem Zeitpfeil und der Zeitrichtung verbunden.

In Western cultures the time arrow represents a linear concept of time. We remember the past, but not the future, or may be we do sometimes. The psychological time arrow describes our subjective distinction between past and future events. In many old cultures like in Africa the word for tomorrow and yesterday is the same, also kids have a problem to make a difference between today and tomorrow.

The cups are symbol of time, present, past & future.

In der Kultur des Abendlandes steht der Zeitpfeil für eine lineare Zeitvorstellung.
Der psychologische Zeitpfeil beschreibt unsere subjektive Unterscheidung zwischen vergangenen und zukünftigen Ereignissen. Wir können uns an die Vergangenheit erinnern, aber nicht an die Zukunft. Andere alte Kulturen haben ein umgekehrtes Zeitkonzept, bei dem die Zukunft als hinten liegend betrachtet wird. In Afrika das Wort für morgen und gestern ist dasselbe.

My work is a mixture of places and cultures, play and religion, an architecture of jet lag, that searches for the true path. Very often we are too busy and lost in future plans or past event and don’t realize we are not living NOW.

„Time is Natures way of keeping everything from happening all at once.“

...and I didn’t mean, that everything in this painting is happening at the same time, but more or less all painted actions are connected with each other.

Follow The Nort Wind- The north wind gives a sign to the nomad folks when the time has come to keep on moving and searching for new places.

Meine Arbeit ist Vermischung von Orten und Kulturen, Geschichten, menschliche Transformationen, eine Architektur des Jetlags auf der Suche nach dem richtigen Weg. Viel zu beschäftigt mit zukünftigen Plänen oder vergangenen Erlebnissen ist uns oft nicht bewusst, dass wir fast nie einfach JETZT leben.

As a connecting red thread in many of my works, a cup of tea serves as a symbol of time: present, past and future. The idea comes from SadÒ or Chado- the tea ceremony in Japan. Tea ceremony is actually a wrong translation, the correct one is tea way or path. The concept of SadÒ is not just about a tea ceremony or a ritual,it is a life philosophy.
 The taste, intensity, quantity and warmth of the tea are never the same. It is a great example of enjoying and catching the moment. Like haiku poetry, it is only about the present moment.

In Bulgaria people say: There are passengers for every train ( ...for every person there is a perfect match somewhere )

Als roter Faden in vielen von meinen Arbeiten dient eine Tasse Tee als Symbol der Zeit: Gegenwart, Vergangenheit und Zukunft. Diese Idee kam aus SadÒ oder Chado: Die Teezeremonie in Japan. Das Wort Teezeremonie, wird eigentlich falsch übersetzt. Richtig wäre es als Teeweg zu beschreiben. Bei SadÒ gehe es nicht um das Vollziehen einer Zeremonie oder eines Rituals sondern um einen Lebensweg. Eine Tasse Tee wird nie gleich intensiv schmecken, wird weder gleich heiß, noch von der gleichen Menge sein, es ist einmalig, wie alle erlebten Momente.

In Bulgarien sagt man: Es gibt Passagiere für jeden Zug ( Jeder Topf findet seinen Deckel)
